It is my hope that this blog makes me accountable for my approach to education. It’s a way to commit to 21st century best teaching practices. It’s also a way to reflect on these practices in order to make improvements along the way.

Mr. A’s Biography

I am a native of Sandersville, Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 where I earned a BA degree in Classics. For 8 years I taught in Milledgeville, GA for a program called Georgia College Early College through Baldwin County Public Schools and Putnam County Charter School System on Georgia College campus. I taught the first year the GCEC was started as a 7th grade language arts and social studies teacher. After two years I moved to the high school part of GCEC and taught 9th grade literature, world literature, American literature, British literature, economics, and Latin. I now live in Troy, AL with my wife Tori, our twelve-year-old son, Ellis, and our dog Oscar. I enjoy playing music with my friends and family, running, reading historical fiction and science fiction, and carpentry.
